Biography

Ganendran (“Ganen”) Sarvananthan has been a member of our board of directors since TPG Inc.’s inception. Mr. Sarvananthan is Managing Partner, Head of Asia and the Middle East, Co-Managing Partner of TPG Capital Asia, Co-Head of Southeast Asia and served on the TPG Holdings Committee until the IPO. He joined TPG in 2014 from Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the Government of Malaysia’s strategic investment fund, where he had been since 2004. As the Head of Investments at Khazanah, Mr. Sarvananthan oversaw an investments team based in Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, Mumbai, San Francisco and Istanbul and managed a $31 billion portfolio across the region and was a member of the Management Committee of the firm. Prior to his time at Khazanah, Mr. Sarvananthan worked at UBS Investment Bank in both corporate finance and equity capital markets in their London, Singapore and Hong Kong offices for over seven years. Mr. Sarvananthan received a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from University College London and is qualified as a Barrister at Law in England and Wales.
